The Earthly Pull
Plant your feet firmly on the ground and from here make magic
The realm of thought, ideas and aspirations,
of spinning and scrolling,
of up and up
And faster and faster
can be oh so addictive that we forget the importance of our deep heavy density.
Nature knows as she returns all things to the earth to be integrated.
Wet, slow, cold winter. Thud, thud, into the mud.
There has to be a wise deep rooting before any rise.
It’s the nature of things here. The nature of range and harmony and being able to hold both and.

Luke can’t exist without Vader
The deep cavernous grief must be felt before the sky rocket love ship can launch once more.
It’s why I have a foot in the love and light crew and one firmly in the coven of shadow workers.
I used to spend much time and energy running between the two trying to find out how to fully fit in to either one. But now I have built enough understanding of myself and enough love for all parts that I can be in all.
Density Matters
One of my teachers lead a practice on density this week. Remembering the solidity and heaviness of our being as a path to presence. Often when we think of heaviness we may pull in ideas of stuckness or something utterly immoveable.
But in here there is a weight that can move mountains.
In here is the rock steadiness that these times call for.
Towards the end of last year I witnessed someone meet the consequence of living in the high vibes of love and light and aspiration and dream without tethering that to the slow solid sober responsibility of being in the world.
I catch myself there too sometimes - because it’s delightful to disconnect and float around in prismic possibility and plans. Cloud dancing. And it is necessary to be able to occupy these spaces and the freedom and inspiration they bring.
But there is also a very real need to have your feet on the ground.
To be connected to the earth and dirt of which we are a part.
To be in this world as well as of it.
I am currently working with practices that build power in these earthly, physical, visceral places. I am a beginner but I feel how necessary they are as my body moves firmly into a new age and my youthful spirit is no longer the most sustaining source of energy. I am not ready to share these yet - maybe it’s not my work to share ever actually - let’s see.
What I can share though is that being in person with people (and having much much less time online) helps me connect again to this solidity this density. And I see it in others whom I gather with. There is a thunk that happens in our system when we are with other nervous systems, in circle, in community.
It is as resourcing and inspiring as cloud surfing if not more so and it is entirely more sustainable. At least for this body.
So the invitation is to look at who you want to be around that creates this solidity.
Where do you gather that creates rock steadiness.
What circles can you step into that will hold you and be held by your earthly magic.
If you feel called, I have the group offerings for you right now.

Oh Cat… every time you write I get absolutely lost as the beauty and deep meaning of your words envelops me. Resonating hard with this and chuckling at my guilt for enjoying cloud surfing perhaps a little too much 🤣 hope to see you soon x
