Thoughtful piece. I’ve intentionally retired my profiles from social media. It has left a void I’m still navigating. I’m finding joy in anonymity, tinged with sadness at not sharing the photography I’ve been working on. It’s forcing me to re-evaluate how I do everything

Hey Tim, thanks for your reflections. It made me think about what we “used to do” with our creativity pre Social Media. And what part of us (our ego?) getting mass eyes or approval on something feeds. You might like The Portal as a space - lots of interesting discussions happening over there - including one tomorrow called “ Resisting De-Skilling in the Age of AI with Amelia Hruby” - Amela has a podcast called Off the Grid, where she interviews artists, writers, business leaders, and former influencers about their relationships to working online.

I would love to hear more about your re-evaluation of everything…
